The Law of Averages

Mr. Rohn talked about the Law of Averages and the story of the sower from the Bible. . This message opened my eyes to the idea that it was just a numbers game. Some people just aren't interested in changing the lives of others. Some THINK they are and they join the business, but I discovered later that they were just kidding themselves. After joining, some people put in a 30% effort, some a 60% effort and some a 100% effort. I was set free when I began to understand the numbers. That's just the way it is.

Seek for the Knowledge

Mr. Rohn told me that anyone has the opportunity to completely change their life. Make it completely different in the next two years compared to the last two. Just by changing a few things and making some minor adjustments. BUT IF YOU DON'T KNOW THAT, then you will just go on and on, year after year, not making much change. Staying the same. Because you didn't read the book, you didn't take the class, you didn't attend the seminar, you didn't join in on the conference call, you didn't read the email, you didn't go to the convention, you didn't ask the questions. You didn't seek for the knowledge of how to make your life better. This leads perfectly to the next topic…

Don't miss anything

Mr. Rohn says "Don't miss anything". Don't miss the class, don't miss the play, the movie, the song, the conference, the training, the DVD. Don't miss anything. Because these are the things that nourish the soul. This has been my mantra for years and it's what I try to teach my team. But, thanks to the law of averages, only a few get it. And I know who those few are. And those few are growing and rising through the ranks right before my eyes.

I understand that you can't do "everything". But don't miss any of the opportunities to learn. These opportunities are all around you. Books, seminars, conventions, conference calls, trainings, CDs, DVDs. If someone makes a recommendation to you, do it! And don't just do it once, do it 5 times! If you're going to Convention, don't miss a day. Don't be late to a training session. Because when you miss something, you don't know what you're missing. And when you don't know what you don't know, that's very dangerous for your future. Don't miss anything. That's called being teachable which is the first requirement for success in this business.
